Greenville University and Midwestern University are proud to announce a new affiliation agreement that provides an accelerated path for Greenville students to pursue a rewarding career in pharmacy. This partnership establishes a Dual Acceptance Program (DAP) between Midwestern University’s College of Pharmacy and Greenville University, offering students a more direct route to a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
Under the terms of this agreement, interested students who meet specified coursework and program requirements at Greenville University will gain early acceptance into Midwestern University’s College of Pharmacy, reducing the uncertainty typically associated with professional school applications. The program will begin with students entering Greenville University in the fall of 2025.
Greenville University, a private Christian institution in Illinois, offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The University delivers a robust general education and pre-pharmacy curriculum that will equip students with the knowledge necessary for success in pharmacy school. “This affiliation agreement allows Greenville University to offer provisional direct admission to Midwestern University for students still in high school or in year one at GU,” said Suzanne Davis, President of Greenville University. “What an advantage to offer such an excellent academic option toward a growing and evolving career path.”
Midwestern University has 125 years of expertise in healthcare education and a strong reputation for its comprehensive doctoral pharmacy program that prepares students for successful careers. “This agreement aligns with Midwestern University’s commitment to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals,” said Kathleen H. Goeppinger, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of Midwestern University. “By partnering with Greenville University, we are providing motivated students with an opportunity to begin their pharmacy education earlier and complete their studies in three years at our established and respected College of Pharmacy.”
“I am so excited for students to have easy and clear pathways into high demand professions such as Pharmacy,” said GU’s Vice President of Enrollment, Victoria Clark. “Midwestern is a like-minded institution that believes in courageous care for all students, and we are thrilled to partner with them.”
