The OCD & Anxiety Center, a leading mental health practice with locations in Oak Brook, Orland Park, and Marietta, Georgia, is proud to announce that its clinical team recently completed months of specialized training in Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), an evidence-based approach for treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
OCD is a common but often misunderstood condition that affects people of all ages. It is marked by unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors or mental rituals that can significantly interfere with daily life. The OCD & Anxiety Center has long been known for its expertise in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD. ERP helps individuals gradually face their fears and break free from compulsive patterns that keep them stuck.
With the addition of I-CBT, the Center now offers another highly effective option for clients. I-CBT focuses on addressing the thinking patterns and doubts that drive OCD, helping individuals rebuild trust in their perceptions and reduce the distress that fuels obsessive thinking.
“We are committed to providing our clients with the most effective and individualized care possible,” said Dr. Maha Zayed, Founder of The OCD & Anxiety Center. “OCD can feel overwhelming, but with the right support and tools, people can experience real and lasting change. Our team is passionate about helping clients reclaim their lives.”
The Center’s clinicians are trained to tailor treatment to each client’s unique symptoms, preferences, and goals. Whether someone is struggling with contamination fears, excessive checking, intrusive thoughts, or other OCD symptoms, help is available.
The OCD & Anxiety Center offers in-person appointments in Illinois and Georgia, and telehealth appointments in additional states across the country.
