Downers Grove Public Library Announces: Meet Bookologist Erin
Bookologist Erin, Children’s Services Librarian Extraordinaire, is June’s Bookologist of the Month! As Downers Grove Public Library’s official School Liaison, Miss Erin is regularly explaining library services to students, leading tours around the Kids Room, and visiting school classrooms all over Downers Grove. She is a rockstar.
Bookologist Erin loves sharing recommendations of books for kids. “The best picture books are ones that kids and adults can love together.” She says, “I read a ton of picture books here in the library as Miss Erin during storytime, and outside the library as Auntie Erin to some amazing kiddos.” But she also enjoys true crime, young adult, and graphic novels. (If you want to talk about the new Wonder Woman movie, let her know!)
Take a look at her These Librarians Don’t Shush favorites, including Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine, This Book is Overdue!: How Librarians and Cybrarians Can Save Us All by Marilyn Johnson, and The Camel Bookmobile by Masha Hamilton.
Other amazing booklists by Bookologist Erin include:
