Live Bands • Silent Auction • Photo Booth • Food & DrinksThis year marks a milestone: the 10th anniversary of Jami’s passing and the fifth iteration of the benefit concert that bears her memory. “La Sorella: Rock for Jami” returns to Downers Grove with an evening designed to celebrate life while funding critical research into a disease that affects thousands of women each year.
Those who knew Jami remember her extraordinary and steadfast character, her generosity and giving spirit, her insightful wit, her contagious joy, and her unrelenting appreciation for life.
That appreciation for life now fuels La Sorella’s mission. The organization has coordinated events and benefits to raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA), supporting their work in funding research, advocating for patients, and helping survivors in their battle against this devastating disease.
The Mission: “It is the mission, duty and purpose of La Sorella to coordinate and organize events and benefits for the purpose of raising funds for, but not exclusive to, the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA), to aid them in their mission of funding research, advocating for patients, and supporting survivors in the battle against ovarian cancer.”From 2016 to 2024, each Rock for Jami event has brought together music lovers, community members, and supporters united by a common cause. The November 1st event promises to be the most memorable yet, featuring multiple bands, a silent auction with premium items, and an atmosphere that honors Jami’s love of life and community.
