The US Chamber team has analyzed the exports of each state subject to retaliatory tariffs from Canada, Mexico, the EU, and China. Today we released an interactive map – available at www.TheWrongApproach.com – and state-level fact sheets that detail the total value of exports subject to tariffs as well as the largest export items by destination (Click here for the Illinois One Pager).
Our goal is to use this data release, along with the fact that approximately $75 billion in retaliatory tariffs will be in effect by the end of this week, to draw more attention to the growing threat of the biggest trade war since Smoot Hawley.
